Q: How do you offer the training classes?

A: We offer a variety of virtual/online training courses, tools, and videos with full tax preparation training from the start to the finish of completing a tax return, tax law training, plenty of tax audit does and don’ts, sample scenarios of return walk-throughs, questionnaires, and also Pre-recorded lessons and literature available for whenever you need it. We also offer 1-on-1 personalized and local classroom training as well.

Q: Do you offer customer support?

A: Yes Unwrap Success offers top tier year-round customer support including assistance with technical and tax form related questions. We also offer installation help for single or network installations (if needed). We extend our office hours during peak season from January through April. Please see our contact page for these hours. We are always here if you need us.

Q: Are all the forms included such as state and business forms?

A: Yes, we offer all the forms in our packages. You will receive all the state and business forms along with specialty forms. Please see our Included Tax Forms for all the forms that are included by state and type.

Q: When you say “SIGN UP ONCE, SIGN UP FOR LIFE.” What do you mean?

A: If you process and have funded the minimum required amount of Federal Bank Products (20), then you can receive free software and membership from UnWrap Success for every year following your initial sign up.

Q. How long after my client receives their tax refund do I have to wait to receive me preparation fees?

A: Generally (depending on your bank but) 24-48 hours after your client refund is funded you will receive your preparation fees into your bank account or however you decided to have them dispersed.

Q. What all qualifications does a person need to start a tax preparation business?

A: There is no specific qualification needed currently to run your own tax preparation business, no special degree, diploma, prior knowledge or experience needed. The only for sure thing that you need is to obtain a PTIN number from the IRS to qualify you as a tax preparer doesn’t require a test or anything just a payment of $64.25

Q: Why are your software and system so inexpensive upfront to purchase?

A: Because of our companies buying power we are able to offer software at a very low price seeing that we move it in bulk, and we also understand that everyone doesn’t have a whole lot of money just sitting around waiting to do something with it, therefore with your deposit we secure your software and we pay for your training, marketing, etc and just get it back on the back end when you start to make money.

Q: Which file conversions are available?

A: We can convert tax data from the following software applications: Lacerte, Intuit/ProSeries, Turbo Tax, Tax Slayer, Crosslink, TaxWise, Sabre-ATX, UTS-TaxWise, and Drake. If your software isn’t listed chances are we can still offer you a conversion solution, please contact our support as new software companies are added each year.

Q: WHAT IS A BANK PRODUCT RETURN?

A: A bank product return is a tax return that is electronically filed without collecting any upfront fees from the customer. At the same time you prepare the return, the customer will sign a document authorizing the bank to receive the customer’s tax refund and to pay you your preparation fee from the tax return. It works this way.

The bank creates an account in the name of the customer. Once the IRS funds the return the bank transfers the customer’s tax refund into the account is created for the customer fewer fees. Accordingly, we call this type of bank product a Refund Transfer or RT.

Simultaneously, the bank, through the tax software, will notify you that you have a check to print or debit card to issue. Once the check is printed or the debit card is issued the client can get there refund money.

Q: What are the banks that Unwrap Success use for processing bank products such as RTs and PERCs?

A: The following banks are fully integrated within the software: SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group) & TFS.

Q: Do I have to E-FILE all the returns I prepare in the software?

A: You can either file tax forms electronically or by mail. There are no fee’s if a tax form is filed by standard mail. But to get the fee that you charge deducted from the client tax check you must e-file the return and use a bank product (RT) so the money can be separated and distributed.

Q: Do I have direct contact capabilities to a support hotline if I need software help during the season?

A: Yes, you will be able to contact Unwrap Success Technical Support directly if you have any software issues.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

A: Different packages are as low as $499 for new start-ups and as low as $99 for software only! Take advantage of this limited-time offer!

Q: ARE THERE ONGOING FEES?

A: It depends on what package you are set up on but mainly no. Ask your representative for details.

Q: ARE THERE ANY OTHER FEES OR HIDDEN CHARGES?

A: No. Only the price of the package you that you choose and other fees associated with the return that will be charged to your clients, such as a bank, technology, and service bureau fees.

Q: CAN I MAKE PAYMENTS TOWARD THE ENTRY FEE?

A: Absolutely, Yes.

Q: WHAT ALL DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?

A: Everything you need to operate a tax office except a location: IRS Registration, Software, Bank Products, Training, 24/ 7/365 IT and Tax Law Support, Marketing/Promotional Materials, and a Personal Coach to guide you every step of the way, and much more.

Q: DOES CREDIT MATTER?

A: No. Credit does not matter at all-good or bad.

Q: DOES MY BACKGROUND MATTER?

A: No, but to get an EFIN monetary related crime may hinder you, call us for details, we can still help.

Q: IS THERE AN EDUCATION OR SKILLS REQUIREMENT?

A: No.

Q: HOW LONG IS THE CONTRACT?

A: One season or as long as you would like to use our services.

Q: IS THERE A CANCELLATION PROVISION IN THE CONTRACT?

A: Yes.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENEW THE CONTRACT?

A: Nothing.

Q: IS THERE A NON-COMPETE PROVISION IN THE CONTRACT?

A: No.

Q: AM I REQUIRED TO USE YOUR COMPANY NAME?

A: No you can use your name.

Q: HOW LONG IS TRAINING?

A: We will meet you where you are. Our training is one-on-one and we will go at your pace. Plus, we will have training videos and other materials available on a secure section of our web site or email for your review on your schedule. With that said, most people grasp the software in a matter of hours. The more you practice the faster and more efficient you will be. You will become comfortable and confident in a short period.

Q: CAN THE SOFTWARE PREPARE BUSINESS TAX RETURNS?

A: Yes but talk to one of our sales representatives about why that might not be the most profitable target market.

Q: CAN I OPEN MORE THAN ONE LOCATION?

A: Yes. We will support you in as many as we agree you can handle. Ask our sales department for multiple location pricing.

Q: AM I RESTRICTED TO A TERRITORY?

A: No. We will help you locate in the most lucrative area based upon very specific zip code data.

Q: HOW WILL I BE PAID?

A: Every Thursday we will ACH transfer your percentage of the tax preparation fees directly into your bank account for all funded tax returns. You will receive the money in your account on Friday. In other words, Friday is payday for you and your workers if you have any.

Q: CAN I HAVE THE OPTION TO ISSUE THE CUSTOMER’S TAX REFUND ON DEBIT CARDS OR CHECKS?

A: Yes you can use debit cards or checks depending on your package.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE CUSTOMER’S TAX REFUND?

A: Generally, the process takes 7 to 10 days. This depends on when the customer’s return is accepted and funded by the IRS. The IRS publishes a payment cycle chart that will make this very clear. We will go over this extensively in training.
